Lorde denies throwing 'shade' at Harry Styles and Kendall Jenner

Lorde has dismissed suggestion that she slagged off Harry Styles and Kendall Jenner in a recent Instagram post.

The singer took to the photo sharing website on January 3 to comment on celebrities being spotted in luxurious places.

One Direction's Styles and model Jenner were recently snapped on the Caribbean island of St. Barths spending time on a yacht together.

Speaking on Instagram, Lorde said: "When you scroll through your feed and all the pretty famous boys and girls are on yachts or in saint barth's and you're at home where it's raining and you've never even been on a holiday to another country before.

"Never been to a tropical island let alone saint barth's and actually you aren't even sure if you're spelling saint barth's right."

The New Zealander then denied that her post was critical, suggesting it was just self-deprecating.

Lorde added: "lol no 'shade' folks if i were on an island or in even nearish proximity to a yacht you would be hearing all the f*ck about it just making fun of my own lameness."
