Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Funk' UK's most popular song of 2015

Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Funk' has been named the biggest song of the year in the UK.

The Official Charts Company confirmed today (January 4) that the tune, which was released in late 2014, racked up 1.76 million streams and sales over the last 12 months.

The song achieved seven weeks at No.1 in 2015 and only left the top 40 in October.

OMI’s 'Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix)' was the second most popular song of the year.

It shifted a combined total of 1.52 million through 2015.

Hozier’s 'Take Me To Church' followed at No.3, with Ellie Goulding's 'Love Me Like You' at No.4.

Wiz Khalifa’s 'See You Again' rounded off the top five.

Adele's 'Hello' charted at No.6 despite only being released in October.
