Kendrick Lamar premieres new gangsta rap track 'Untitled 2'

American gangsta rapper and hip-hop artist, Kendrick Lamar, premiered a new song named 'Untitled 2' on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night (January 7).

The gripping track, presumably titled as a reference to 'Untitled', starts as a melodic jam, before picking up pace and bursting into something more angrier and harsher.

In his unique Kendrick Lamar truth-telling style, 'Untitled 2' is lyrically dense and packed with double meanings, but pushes more towards jazz, than commercial rap.

Kendrick Lamar has so far released three studio albums. His most recent, 'To Pimp A Butterfly', broke Spotify’s record for the most streams in a single day, totting up 9.6m.

The 28-year-old Compton artist, who names N.W.A as his inspirational idols, has been heralded by the music industry and praised by the legendary star Prince.
