One Direction and Little Mix score BRIT Awards nominations

The nominees for this year's BRIT Awards have now been announced.

This year's ceremony is set to take place on Wednesday, February 24 at London’s iconic O2 Arena and will feature live performances from the likes of Little Mix, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Adele, The Weeknd, Jess Glynne, and James Bay.

The official Twitter page for the 2016 BRITs has been sharing photographs of music stars arriving on the red carpet and a selection of the images can be seen below.

One Direction are up for British Group and British Video, Little Mix also have two nominations (British Single, British Video), and Justin Bieber is up for International Male. Leigh-Anne Pinnock, from Little Mix, told her fans that the news has come as an amazing surprise: "Say what???? This is just amazing! We have been waiting for this moment for 4 years!! To perform and be nominated! On top of the world right now!!!"
