1D, Shawn Mendes, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande hit UK sales milestones

Every Friday afternoon, the British Phonographic Industry shares updates on any singles or albums that have achieved a new certification level and today sees some exciting artists reaching that point. 

One Direction have gone Gold with their single 'Perfect,' which means that it has shifted over 400,000 units, Ariana Grande's 'Focus' is Silver, selling over 200,000 units since its release, and Shawn Mendes is also celebrating Gold certification with his No.1 single 'Stitches'. 

Lady Gaga's 'Do What You Want' is now Gold in the UK, 'I'll Show You' by Justin Bieber is Silver, and ‘Lay It All On Me’ from Rudimental ft. Ed Sheeran is now Gold.

One Direction's track 'Steal My Girl,' which was released back in 2014, recently achieved Platinum certification from the BPI, meaning that the track has sold over 600,000 units since its release.
