Sir Elton John tells Donald Trump to stop using his music

Sir Elton John has hit out at US republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump by telling him to stop using his music at political rallies.

To date, Trump has used 'Rocket Man' and 'Tiny Dancer' to try and increase support on his campaign trail and he didn't seek permission from Sir Elton to play any of his songs.

The music icon's publicist issued a statement on the issue, which reads: "Elton’s music has not been requested for use in any official capacity by Donald Trump. Any use of his music should not be seen as an endorsement of Donald Trump by Elton."

Sir Elton isn't the only musician to slam Trump for unauthorised use of their music as Adele's camp recently reached out to the politician after he played 'Rolling In The Deep' and 'Skyfall' on his campaign trail. A rep for the songstress said: "Adele has not given permission for her music to be used at any political rallies."
