Miguel: 'All we do pretty much is mess up our women's dreams'

Hitmaker Miguel proposed to his longtime girlfriend Nazanin Mandilast earlier this year and has opened up about the wedding plans.

Speaking to James Corden on The Late Late Show, the singer admitted that wedding plans are probably best left to his fiancée so he will let her call the shots:

"I'm not getting involved in wedding plans - I'm going to leave that all to her. I think it's really a woman's thing... I know that she's been wanting to be married and she had this idea of what it's supposed to be and I don't want to taint that, I don't want to mess it up, because that's all we do pretty much is mess up our women's dreams. So I'm not going to start off on the wrong foot."

He went onto add that he wasn't always as smooth with women: "I remember one of the only parties I was at in high school, and I was literally just watching this girl the entire time - really awkwardly, not even in a cool way," he laughed. "And I finally had a moment to go talk to her and I'm standing there with a drink like, 'Ok, I'm going to go and do it', and as soon as I take a step the cup slips right through my hand and it just busts all over me. And I'm like, 'Ok, time to go!'"
