Lorde was 'so nervous' ahead of BRITs David Bowie tribute

New Zealand based songstress Lorde performed a stunning tribute to the late music icon David Bowie last night (February 25) at the BRIT Awards and she revealed that she was nervous before taking to the stage.

She took to her official Twitter page after the performance and told her followers that she just wanted to do right by Bowie: "Such an honour getting to perform #BRITs2016 paying tribute to my hero. I was so nervous in the wings, and then I whispered to myself 'just sing it to David," and nothing else mattered."

David Bowie's son Duncan watched the performance online and later shared a message of appreciation on his social media page, tweeting: "Finally found the links to tonight's BRITs. Just... beautiful. Thank you."
