Adele still No. 1 on Official Albums Chart after BRIT Awards

She was the queen of the BRIT Awards and now Adele rules the Official Albums Chart for another week, with 25 holding firm at Number 1.

Closing the show with a powerful performance of When We Were Young, Adele took home four awards on the night – equalling Blur's then record-breaking haul in 1995 – with 25 winning Mastercard British Album of the Year. 25 has now spent nine non-consecutive weeks at Number 1.

David Bowie, who was remembered in a spectacular tribute by Lorde at the BRIT Awards, is at Number 2 with his Best of Bowie hits retrospective. BRITs Critics' Choice Award winner Jack Garratt is new at Number 3 with his debut release Phase, while fellow BRITs winner Justin Bieber slips a place to 4. Rounding off the Top 5 are show openers and British Group victors Coldplay with A Head Full Of Dreams.

James Bay had a good night at the BRITs too, taking home the British Male award and giving a rousing performance of Hold Back The River. His debut album Chaos And The Calm returns to the Top 10, leaping 10 places to Number 7.

Irish easy listening star Daniel O'Donnell lands a 33rd Top 40 album with The Best Of Music And Memories at Number 15, and Sia's 1000 Forms Of Fear rebounds 17 places to Number 19.

Australian rockers Wolfmother have nabbed a third Top 40 with Victorious, new at 25, and British Breakthrough BRIT Award winners Catfish and the Bottlemen bounce back into the Top 40 – The Balcony rises 13 spots to Number 34.

The physical release of Foo Fighters' EP Saint Cecilia, which was originally available as a free download and dedicated to the victims of the terrorist attack in Paris, is new at Number 35.
