The 1975 on course to bag second UK No.1 album

The 1975 are set to land their second No.1 album in the UK.

The group released their latest effort 'I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It' on Friday (February 26).

The Official Charts Company confirmed today (February 29) it is outselling the albums chart's top three combined.

If The 1975 stay put at No.1 come Friday (March 4), they will have achieved their second chart-topping album in the UK.

Their 2013 self-titled debut gave the band their first No.1.

Adele's '25' drops one place to No.2, while David Bowie's 'Best of Bowie' is No.3.

Justin Bieber's 'Purpose' and Coldplay's 'A Head Full of Dreams' stay put at No.4 and No.5 respectively.

Richard & Adam's new effort 'Believe – Songs of Inspiration' debuts at No.9, while thrash metallers Anthrax are new at No.10 with 'For All Kings'.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have only managed to reach No.11 with their new album 'This Unruly Mess I’ve Made'.
