Nicola Roberts working on solo projectGirls Aloud’s Nicola Roberts admits that although she’s not ready to release anything yet she has been working on solo material in the studio. Following in the footsteps of the very successful Cheryl Cole and fellow band mate Nadine Coyle, Roberts is keen to pursue an independent music career. The flame haired singer has been making an impression of her own with her cosmetics brand, Dainty Doll, and on November 2 she picked up the award for Ultimate Catwalk Queen at Cosmopolitan’s Ultimate Women of the Year celebration. During the awards ceremony Roberts spoke about her ambitions saying, “I'd love to do something like shoes, something really fun and something not too serious." This news comes after Cheryl Cole declared in a recent interview with X magazine that Girls Aloud would have to celebrate their tenth year as a band, which cast shadows over the rumours that the group had permanently parted ways.
