Ariana Grande: 'Moonlight is the centrepiece of the album'

Superstar Ariana Grande will release her highly anticipated new album, entitled 'Dangerous Woman', later this spring on May 20 and she has opened up about changing its title from 'Moonlight'.

During an interview with 97.1 AMP Radio, the beauty admitted that she felt the need to change her forthcoming new album's title because it no longer represented where she's at emotionally and creatively:

"I started putting out music when I was 16 or 17 and I'm 22 now... a lot of change happens in those years. I feel like I've grown so much, I've learned so much and I've personally evolved. So, I want my sound to evolve as well. I feel like that growth is represented in this body of work. I wanted to go with a title that was stronger and had a little more meaning behind it. I love 'Moonlight' and it's still the centrepiece of the album, really, but 'Dangerous Woman' to me represents more where I'm at right now."

When asked what the new record sounds like, Grande added that it has a 'darker' vibe than the music she has released previously: "It's darker. It's more mature... it's a very nice blend between the R&B stuff I've done in the past and the pop stuff I've done in the past. It definitely has my flavour, but it's definitely the next phase as well."
