N-Dubz’s Tulisa lands lead film role

N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos will be heading up the cast of a new film that addresses teen suicide.

The film ‘Suicide Kids’ will follow the story of a girl whose decision to end her own life results in seven of her friends making a suicide pact.

The singer will be starring alongside ‘Adulthood’ star Adam Deacon, Andrew Ellis from ‘This Is England’ and Robert Sheehan from ‘Misfits’. The film is written and directed by UK director Arjun Rose and will be produced by Idris Elba of ‘The Wire’.

This will be Tulisa’s first film, but not her first foray into acting as she played a cocaine-addled pop star in a 2005 episode of ‘Dubplate Drama’.
