George Michael’s ‘Faith’ reissue delayed

George Michael’s plans to re-release his classic debut solo album, ‘Faith’, were thwarted last month after the star was ordered to jail.

The singer was thrown in prison on September 10 after pleading guilty to possession of cannabis and driving under the influence of drugs.

The reissue of the 1988 Album of the Year Grammy Award winner was supposed to come out in late September, but Sony agreed to put the release on hold when Michael was sentenced. However, ‘Faith’ has now been rescheduled for re-release on January 31 2010.

The former Wham! Singer served only 27 days of his sentence and was freed on October 10.
