Jackson 5 to release clothing line

The surviving members of the Jackson 5 have revealed that they are to release a clothing line based on the group’s stage attire.

Jermaine, Jackie, Tito, Marlon and Randy Jackson are teaming with the estate of Michael Jackson to release the range and all members have had input on the designs.

The line will be called the ‘J5 Collection’ and will feature replicas of the jackets that the late Michael Jackson wore in his solo videos for ‘Thriller’ and ‘Beat It’. And eyewear and footwear collection are also to follow.

Talking to WWD, Jackie Jackson said: “I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time. I've seen other friends be successful with their lines, like Puffy with Sean John.

"I've been in this business for a long time and our name is known around the world."

The J5 Collection will be available at Urban Outfitters stores and online. Clothes start at around £20 and range up to £375 for jackets.
