Coldplay announce UK gigs for charity in December

The internationally renowned alternative rock band Coldplay have announced it will play two intimate gigs for charity in the run up to Christmas.

The band took to its Twitter page this morning to share the news and explained that the shows will be in aid of a charity called Crisis that strives to help the growing situation of homelessness.

Liverpool will play host to the first gig on December 19 and Newcastle will host the second on December 20, and all proceeds will go directly to the cause at heart. Coldplay explains on its website:

“The venues will remain hidden until 24 hours before Coldplay step on stage. This gives gig-goers a small taste of the uncertainty faced by the thousands of homeless people who do not know where they will spend the night.”

Tickets will be available from 2pm on November 12 and will cost £50.
