Britney Spears back in the studio

One of the world’s most famous pop stars, Britney Spears, is back in the studio working on new material for her upcoming seventh album.

The ‘Toxic’ singer recently had an entire episode of the U.S smash hit television show 'Glee' dedicated to her back catalogue and just this morning Spears' manager, Adam Leber, tweeted:

“Brit is recording a big big BIG new song on Friday with #MaxMartin & @TheDrLuke. I'm pretty sure it’s a smash!”

This news will come as a fantastic surprise to Spears’ fans as Swedish producer and writer Max Martin penned her debut single, ‘…Baby One More Time’, back in '98 so the pair have a significant working history together.

Her new album will be co-produced by Dr. Luke, who has both co-written and co-produced such chart topping tracks as Taio Cruz’ ‘Dynamite’ and Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurls’.

This new record will be Spears’ first since the release of ‘Circus’ in ‘08, which has since been certified Platinum in both the UK and U.S.
