Madonna has been criticised for exposing a 17-year-old fan's breasts on stage in Brisbane on Thursday night (March 17).

However, the woman - model Josephine Georgiou - has brushed off the incident, telling the Daily Mail that it was just "love and fun" on stage.

The controversial moment happened after Madonna spotted the woman in the crowd before taking her up on stage as part of a nightly fan routine.

However, she raised eyebrows by pullong down Georgiou's top to reveal her left breast and nipple.

It wasn't a big deal for the model, with the Australian - who is a big Madonna fan - downplaying the moment to the media.

She told Courier Mail: "Only I get to decide if I’m humiliated or not – why would people assume I am humiliated by my own breast, nipple or body?'  

"I didn’t realise my boob was such a big deal - it was nothing to me."

The woman added that there was no "bad intentions" from Madonna.

The singer is currently on the road on her Rebel Heart world tour.
