Singer Nick Jonas announced details of his forthcoming new album earlier this week and he has now shared a video for the first track to be taken from the record. 

The song in question is called 'Close' and features guest vocals from Tove Lo. Jonas shared the official music video today (March 25) and tweeted: "This music video tomorrow is gonna require a few cold showers afterwords... @ToveLo." 

Tove Lo shared a tweet about her involvement in the track's creation and posted the following message to her fans online: "What an honor to be part of my crazy talented friend @nickjonas' new single #Close!"

Canadian sensation Shawn Mendes also shared the video with his fans and praised Jonas and Tove Lo for producing such a fantastic duet: "@nickjonas @ToveLo SO good. SOOOO good."

Jonas's upcoming new album will be called 'Last Year Was Complicated'and told his Twitter followers that it is very personal: "When I first started making I thought I knew what it would be about... Then I had a breakup. It then became very clear what this thing would be about... And that I would need to dig really deep. Shit is too real sometimes... Reliving some of these real life experiences through this music is hard."

He continued: "But I know it's important that I do it. I want to be an open book in my art... The first song you're gonna hear tomorrow night is about how I literally can't open up and be vulnerable with someone. The track listing will be up tomorrow night too. With the pre sale of the album... Every song is so personal and meaningful to me."
