Michael Jackson's duet with Akon is unveiled

The internationally anticipated posthumous single, ‘Hold My Hand’, from Michael Jackson has been released on his website.

The track, which Jackson worked on with Akon in 2007, will be the first single from Jackson’s upcoming album, ‘Michael’, which goes on sale on December 14.

'Hold My Hand' is a duet with rapper Akon, who recently finished producing it. The song will be released through Sony/Epic and this will be the first album of entirely new material since Jackson’s 2001 studio album, ‘Invincible’.

Akon said of the track:

“But its time has definitely come. Now in its final state it has become an incredible, beautiful, anthemic song. I'm so proud to have had the chance to work with Michael, one of my all time idols.”

The album itself will feature collaborations with 50 Cent and also American rocker Lenny Kravitz, and ‘Hold My Hand’ is available digitally from today, November 15.
