Pulp add Isle of Wight festival to reunion shows

Pulp has revealed that they will be headlining the main stage on Saturday at the Isle of Wight festival, which runs from June 10-12, 2011.

The recently reunited group includes the original line-up of Nick Banks, Jarvis Cocker, Candida Doyle, Steve Mackey, Russell Senior and Mark Webber. The initial dates booked for the reunion didn’t include Isle of Wight, but organisers of the festival reveal that they didn’t want to miss out.

"When I heard they were reforming, I had to get them, they are the soundtrack of a generation,” said festival organiser John Giddings.

While Pulp headline Saturday, Kings Of Leon were announced yesterday as the Friday headliners.
Pulp are also set to appear at the Wireless festival and the Primavera festival next summer.
