The Voice UK quarter finalist Beth Morris has made an early exit from the vocal talent show after admitting that she is a drug addict.

The singer, who was coached by panelist Paloma Faith, didn't appear on the live quarter finals on Saturday night and several hours before, the BBC had blamed the departure on 'personal reasons which have only just come to light'.

The 26-year-old singer, who was a favourite to with the competition, has since revealed that she has been struggling with drug addiction for two years.

Chloe Castro, who was on Ricky Wilson's team, also quit The Voice shortly before the quarter final: "I have decided to leave The Voice for health reasons. I have had a fantastic time and wish all the other contestants all the best in the competition."
