Amy Winehouse announces comeback tour... of Brazil

Amy Winehouse has announced her first official shows in two years: a “one-off tour” of Brazil.

The announcement on Winehouse’s website says that the singer will play three dates for Brazil's Summer Soul Festival - Jan. 8 in Florianopolis, Jan. 13 in Recife and Jan. 15 in Sao Paulo - with a Jan. 11 gig at the Arena HSBC in Rio de Janerio in between.

The ‘Rehab’ singer will be supported on the tour by buzzed-about soulstress Janelle Monáe as well as Mayer Hawthorne coming on board for the Summer Soul Festival gigs.

The Brazil tour will be Winehouse’s first official concerts since 2008 after dropping out of several high-profile gigs and staging a very public fall from grace. However, the troubled singer has been busy this year, releasing her own Fred Perry clothing line and recording a cover of ‘It’s My Party’, marking her first recordings since 2006’s ‘Back To Black’.
