Sir Tom Jones has revealed that he would be thrilled to perform at the royal wedding of Prince William and his fiancée Kate Middleton.

The couple have officially announced their engagement this week (November 16) and the wedding of the second in line to the British throne is expected to be an event unseen since William’s parents Prince Charles and Princess Diana were married.

The Welsh crooner has joined the throngs of happy congratulations for the couple, and has even offered his services for the event.

Talking to the Press Association, Jones said: "People all over the world are excited about the royal wedding and I'm one of those people.

"I've always been a royalist and I always will be. If they invite me along to the wedding I'd happily come and sing a few songs."
