Adam Anderson of band Hurts has thrown his back out after trying to carry an old piano.

The injury was so bad that it left bandmate and singer Theo Hutchcraft playing solo for charity gig Little Noise on Tuesday night (November 16) where he was joined by Annie Lennox’s daughter Tali.

The injury happened after a particularly eventful weekend in Germany, where according to Theo: "We ended up in a bar doing Jagermeister shots with Boris Becker and watching Real Madrid footballer Mesut Ozil try it on with loads of girls.

"Later on we had a party with some supermodels. It ended badly when we got thrown out of our hotel with the girls."
