Justin Bieber dominates American Music Awards

Canadian pop idol Justin Bieber proved his continuing appeal on Sunday (November 21) when he dominated over pop stars like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga at the 2010 American Music Awards, receiving four honours and named Artist of the Year.

At 16, Bieber is the youngest ever artist to receive the award and the star invited his “best friend and big brother” Usher onstage to share in the glory of the win.

“I really got this opportunity about a year-and-a-half ago, I really was embraced by a man called Usher Raymond,” Bieber explained. “I feel like he's had an amazing career, it would only be right if I invited him up to share this with me. Not only my mentor but my best friend and my big brother. I love you, man."

The ‘Baby’ singer also picked up the awards for Favourite Album, Pop or Rock for ‘My World 2.0’ and Favourite Male Artist, Pop or Rock.
