Lulu reveals David Bowie praise: 'He said I had a f**k off voice'

Lulu has revealed that David Bowie once praised her singing by saying she had a "f**k off voice".

The Scottish singer covered his track 'The Man Who Sold The World' in 1974.

Bowie provided backing vocals on the tune and seems the late star was taken by Lulu.

She told Good Housekeeping: "Making a record with David Bowie was pretty rock 'n' roll!

"I thought he was so cool and I wasn't so cool. But when he met me, he said, 'You have a f**k off voice and I'm going to make a hit with you'.

"I always perform 'The Man Who Sold the World', the song that we recorded together in 1974."

Bowie originally released the song in the US in 1970 and the UK in 1971.
