Ciara dodged saying her ex-boyfriend Future's name while revealing this year's Billboard Music Awards nominees.

The US star is due to host the event with Ludacris and they took part in a TV reveal of its nominees on Monday (April 11).

Her ex-partner Future was nominated in the Best Rap Artist category - but she declined to read his name out.

Ludacris picked up the pieces before Ciara resumed reading out the artist names.

The pair got engaged in 2013 and had baby Future Jr together, but they split in 2015.

Earlier this year Ciara reportedly filed a defamation lawsuit for $15 million against Future for criticising her parenting skills.

A host of big names were nominated for the 2016 Billboard Music Awards ahead of the ceremony on May 22.
