Ed Sheeran, James Bay and Skepta nominated for Ivor Novellos

The likes of Ed Sheeran and James Bay have been nominated for this year's Ivor Novello Awards.

The event is due to take place at London's Grosvenor House on May 19 and a host of songwriting talent will be honoured.

Ed Sheeran's 'Bloodstream' is up for the Best Song Musically and Lyrically prize.

He will vie with Jamie Lawson's 'Wasn't Expecting That' and Wolf Alice's 'Bros'.

Snakehips' 'All My Friends', 'Cargo' by Roots Manuva and Skepta's 'Shutdown' are nominated for the Best Contemporary Song award.

The PRS for Music Most Performed Work section sees Jess Glynne's 'Hold My Hand', James Bay's 'Hold Back The River' and Years & Years 'King' nominated.

Villagers, Gaz Coombes and Jamie xx meanwhile will battle it out for the album prize.
