BBC giving away tickets to Biffy Clyro live at Maida Vale Studios

'Mountains' hitmakers Biffy Clyro will be putting on an intimate performance for BBC Radio 1's Annie Mac at the Maida Vale Studios later this month and there are 15 pairs of tickets up for grabs.

The trio will play live at the location on Thursday, April 28 and the BBC explains that "tickets will be allocated by random draw with 75% of tickets going to Greater London postcodes and 25% going to the rest of the UK."

Fans will be able to can register for tickets, a maximum of two per applicant, at any time until 7.45pm on Friday, April 22. Winners of the tickets will be chosen at random and you can enter the draw here

Biffy Clyro recently opened up about their forthcoming new album 'Ellipsis' and explained that it will sound a little different to their previous offerings: "For the first time ever we’ve been messing around properly with programming, so rather than making the heavy parts heavy with guitars and distortion, we’re trying to find different ways to make things intense."

"It’ll be leaner and meaner than the last – no orchestras. This album is going to be the opposite of cinematic. If the last records were kind of Ridley Scott, then this one is more John Waters. It’s quite dirty! We’ve taken a lot of influence from recent hip-hop records, like the latest A$AP Rocky – they’re so fucking good because they’ve got really grimy, dirty, horrible sounds with beautiful vocals, or vice versa. We’re trying to get that balance of things teetering on the edge of chaos the entire time. It’s going to sound like Biffy, but it’s about ‘rocking’ instead of ‘rock’."
