The likes of Kendrick Lamar and Nicki Minaj have been included on Time magazine's list of the top 100 most influential people in the world.

The publication has released its annual rundown and it sees a number of music stars included.

Also on board are acts like Adele and Ariana Grande.

Other celebrities to feature include Caitlyn Jenner, Oscar Isaac and Idris Elba.

Lil Wayne, who first signed Nicki Minaj, penned a tribute to the rapper for the magazine.

He wrote: "She’s reached far beyond everything I would have imagined. Man, she’s so influential and doing all the right things.

"She’s an icon, a boss and a role model to all these young girls out here on how to do it the right way. Nicki Minaj will go down as one of the best to do it in the history of music."

Actress Jennifer Lawrence added about Adele: "Adele is a gift, an international treasure, but she’s also sweet, funny, intelligent and beautiful. Bitch."
