Cops to search Prince's home after painkillers found

Police have received permission to search Prince's Paisley Park complex.

The 57 year old star was found dead in his Minnesota HQ last week (April 21), sending the music world into shock.

A postmortem was carried out a day later, but results are not expected to be known for a few weeks.

On Thursday (April 28) police confirmed that Prince was found with prescription painkillers, but it is unclear if they played a role in his death.

It has now been announced that police have been granted a warrant to re-enter Paisley Park to continue investigations.

A local judge has agreed to seal the documents revealing the reason for the search warrant for a period of six months to avoid any possible tampering.
