One Direction singer Niall Horan has paid tribute to Leicester City after they won the English Premier League.

The team bagged the title on Monday (May 2) after Spurs failed to beat Chelsea.

It capped off a fairystale season for Claudio Ranieri's team, who originally had odds of 5,000/1 on winning the league.

Horan praised the players and manager on Twitter, writing: "Congratulations Leicester city.

"What a story. Fantastic players, fantastic manager. Enjoy. Jamie vardys having a party."

Olly Murs meanwhile wrote: "Well done @LCFC premier league champions 2016!!! bet @vardy7 & the players are 'avin it right now!!! Well deserved!!"
