One Direction show support for ticket tout law change

One Direction have lent their weight to a petition encouraging tougher laws against ticket touts.

The band shared a link to an online petition on Friday (May 6) called Enforce the Consumer Rights Act to protect music, arts and sport fans from touts.

It calls for the UK parliament to reenact last year’s ticket resale amendment.

It forced ticket resellers to reveal their identities and placed more stringent sanctions on resale websites.

At the time of writing, 2,735 people have signed the petition.

One Direction have no immediate cause for concern over gig tickets, however.

The band have no shows lined up after embarking on a break in late 2015.
