The X Factor finalists have knocked Rihanna off the top spot in Ireland’s singles charts with their charity effort, ‘Heroes’.

Rihanna was at number 1 with her new album’s first release, ‘Only Girl (In The World)’, but the X Factor contestants have taken over the chart with their cover of David Bowie’s classic track.

The single, which is being used to raise money for Help For Heroes, is currently playlisted at Radio 1 on the C List and today (November 26) stands in the number 1 position on the iTunes singles charts.
