Queen on Adam Lambert: 'He can handle this, believe me'

Queen's Roger Taylor has revealed that Adam Lambert had nothing to be nervous about in joining the line-up as the frontman because he is more than capable of filling such big shoes.

In a new interview, Adam Lambert confessed that he was a little anxious for the intial run of concerts with Queen because there was so much expectation: "The first couple of gigs were a bit intimidating, to be honest with you... I didn't know how it was going to go over."

The band's drummer Roger Taylor lent his support to Lambert, telling the interviewer: "He really can handle it, believe me.

Brian May added: "Well, the voice is enough. This extraordinary instrument that this man has... but he has all the other attributes, as well. He's a great showman, he's a great interpreter of material that we do, and we love him. Did I forget the fashion? He's kind of good-looking and we love him. We get on well with him and we enjoy doing what we do."
