Adam Lambert: 'I've never tried to hide being gay since I came out'

Adam Lambert says he's never hidden his sexuality since coming out.

The singer told L/Studio Presents in a new interview that his sexual preference was never a secret when he was on American Idol in 2009.

The US star said: "I've always been gay.

"I don't think I've ever actually tried to hide it since coming out at 18.

"So when I went on Idol, they all knew I was gay. I'm so boy crazy, I was like 'He's cute'. They all knew I was gay - it was never a secret from anybody."

Lambert added that he was first questioned publicly about his sexuality on a red carpet event after MySpace photos of the singer and a past-boyfriend emerged.

The vocal powerhouse said he had nothing to hide.
