Shawn Mendes has unveiled his highly anticipated new single.

The musician released the track 'Treat You Better' on Friday (June 3).

The tune is the first single to be taken from Mendes' upcoming second album.

At the time of writing, 'Treat You Better' is placed at No.3 on the US iTunes chart.

It is currently sitting at No.8 in the UK.

In a Twitter Q&A surrounding the release, Mendes said he wrote the tune in one day.
