After the news this morning that quirky rockers System Of A Down have ended their five-year hiatus with a confirmed headlining slot at Download Festival, it’s now emerged that they plan to tour Europe.

In addition to their place on the bill at the prestigious metal festival Download, the band will also perform across mainland Europe’s summer 2011 events.

• June 4 - Rock Im Park in Germany
• June 5 - Rock Am Ring in Germany
• June 6 - Omnisports de Bercy in Paris, France
•  June 9 - Greenfield Festival in Switzerland
• June 11 - Download Festival, England
• June 13 - Novarock in Austria
• June 15 - Wuhlheide in Berlin
•  June 17 - Metaldown in Gothenburg
• June 19 - Provinssirock in Finland
