The 1975 announce massive arena concert in December

'Chocolate' hitmakers The 1975 have announced details of their biggest concert to date

The band will perform live at London's O2 Arena, which has a capacity of around 20,000, later this year on December 16. Pre-sale for this one-off concert will begin at 9am on Wednesday, June 8.

Towards the end of May, 5 Seconds Of Summer's drummer Ashton Irwin told his Twitter followers that he respects The 1975 and believes they're doing great things for young bands

"The 1975 have been so important for upcoming bands! So happy they exist, and are helping open the gateway for young bands."

The 1975's frontman Matt Healy recently told the NME that when the band's latest album went to No.1 he celebrated with his brother instead of going out and partying: "I didn't really (celebrate), in a party sense. We were very focused on the London shows and it's a really long set. I've been spending a lot of time with my brother as well, who I haven't seen for a while. He's 15."
