Tidal uploads 15 Prince albums to celebrate the late superstar's birthday

A total of 15 Prince albums have been added to Tidal in honour of the late musician's birthday.

Among the records are 'The Black Album', which was scrapped a week before its release in 1987.

Other albums added to Tidal include Prince's 1995 effort 'The Gold Experience'.

The musician passed away in April aged 57 as a result of an opioid overdose.

The US star had a fragmented relationship with streaming services, with his music taken off of Spotify last year.

However, he was a supporter of Tidal, which was created by Jay Z and backed by a number of musicians.
