Liam Payne celebrates "life, love and happiness" six years on from audition

Singer Liam Payne, who found fame as one fifth (and then one quarter) of One Direction, has revealed that today marks the sixth anniversary of his 'X Factor' audition, which led to him joining the boyband.

Payne, who is now dating former 'X Factor' judge Cheryl, took to his Twitter page this evening and confessed that he can't believe how his life has changed since walking out onto that stage six years ago:

"Wow! six years since my audition so much has changed in my life from amazing adventures to life, love and happiness thank you for everything."

Earlier this month, pizza chain Domino's polled the UK public on the most surprising moments of 2016 so far and Liam Payne's romance with Cheryl came in fourth place, behind Leicester City winning the Premier League having been 5,000-1 outsiders, Game of Thrones’ Jon Snow staying alive, and Matt LeBlanc joining 'Top Gear'.
