Singer Nick Jonas has revealed that his joint Future Now tour with close friend Demi Lovato might be just what she needs in order to take her mind off her split from long-term boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama. 

Chatting to Entertainment Tonight about the breakdown of his friend's relationship, Jonas explained that he hopes being on the road will be a good thing for Lovato:

|It's probably the best timing for everybody. I've built an amazing friendship with Wilmer over the years and I have so much love for him. Demi is one of my closest friends in the world so I'm here for her, and for both of them really."

Lovato and Valderrama announced their separation at the beginning of June and issued a statement to fans, which read: 

"After almost 6 loving and wonderful years together, we have decided to end our relationship. This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have realised that we are better as best friends. We will always be supportive of one another. Thank you to everyone who has offered us kindness and support over the years. With only love, Wilmer and Demi."
