Christina Aguilera on song for Orlando: 'Music is the biggest healer we have'

Earlier today, Christina Aguilera unveiled a new song called 'Change' in dedication of those who died in the Orlando Pulse nightclub shooting as well as in tribute to 'The Voice' contestant Christina Grimmie, who was shot and killed during a meet and greet with fans recently.

During a chat today with Ryan Seacrest, for On Air with Ryan, the songstress admitted that she was moved to record and release the song because she knows that a lot of people are really hurting right now and it was the least she could do to try and help:

"In light of Orlando and hearing about what happened to Christina Grimmie, who was such an amazing person and [I was] such a huge fan [of], I just had to rush to get this song out here to help people try to heal and music is the biggest healer that we have."

"I think the message here is to love and have no judgement. And instead of living in fear, live in hope and try to change for the better and the future. If I can instill that in my children -- that message of love, and being nonjudgmental in their lifetime no matter what, and to stand up in the face of fear and adversity -- that's all I can give them as a mother."

As previously reported, all proceeds from U.S. downloads of the song will go towards the National Compassion Fund until September 14 to benefit those affected by the horrific shooting.
