Songstress Rihanna recently recorded a song for the new Star Trek movie called 'Sledgehammer' and opened up about her love for the film franchise in a new interview. 

Speaking about her involvement in the movie's soundtrack, Rihanna explained that she fell in love with this particular sci-fi world the second she found it:

"Star Trek has been a part of my life since I was a little girl. It just took me one episode to fall in love with this other world that I couldn't understand but I felt I could relate to. It's never left me. It wasn't just doing a song for any film, I love Star Trek. I'm very, very honoured to be a part of this film."

Yesterday, she delighted fans queueing for her concert in Manchester by sending them a special delivery of hot pizza and clean towels because the weather was so bad.

One of the recipients told The Manchester Evening News that it was a lovely gesture that went hugely appreciated: "We couldn’t believe it. The pizza was only sent to our side of the queue. It was sent with a message from Rihanna, apologising for the weather."
