Hozier wants Glastonbury performance: 'I believe it's not happening in 2017'

‘Take Me To Church’ sensation Hozier has revealed that he really wants to return to the Glastonbury stage.

Speaking to Britain’s Daily Star newspaper, the musician explained that he would love to be asked back, but it’s not likely to be next year unfortunately:

“I believe it is not happening next year. They are letting the fields recover, that's what I've heard. I'd love to perform sadly I missed it this year.”

As previously reported, Hozier also opened up about contributing the song ‘Better Love’ to the soundtrack of the new ‘Tarzan’ movie and explained that the storyline inspired him:

"I was excited about the opportunity and the challenge of writing for this film project. After viewing an early edit, I was struck by the theme of endurance, and endurance of love through such a hostile environment. I wanted the song to be an intimate reassurance as spoken from one lover to another - one that might be issued in hardship or doubt."
