John Newman confirms Calvin Harris 'wrote 100%' of 'Olé' lyrics

Singer John Newman unveiled his collaboration with Calvin Harris on a song called 'Olé' earlier today and he confirmed that Harris did "100 per cent of the writing" on the track.

The song has been much talked about over the past week after it was revealed that the lyrics deal with the breakdown of a relationship and infidelity, and Newman has now admitted that Harris did, in fact, write the song himself:

"In all honesty, Calvin has done 100 per cent of the writing on this. I went into the studio, he said, 'Sing this', and I sang the song. He told me how to sing it. It's a weird one because, I've got no comment on the thing [Swift and Hiddleston's new romance]. I honestly can't -- it wouldn't be fair. I've just related to the tune in my own way."

Some of the lyrics include: “My heart speaks/I ain't seen you or been with you for weeks/But I see online that you've begun to be/A good girl and take trips with your boyfriend/Being attentive, continue to pretend."
