Bastille worried about O2 Arena date: 'We had no idea if people would come'

'Good Grief' hitmakers Bastille have revealed that when they confirmed details of their forthcoming concert at London's O2 Arena, which will take place on November 1, they were anxious that the venue was far too big.

The band admitted to BBC Radio 1's Newsbeat that they were worried about announcing the date because the venue is huge, and they were concerned about filling the seats:

"We genuinely had no idea if people would come or not. I saw Adele recently who was basically living there for about two years. Just being in that room I found myself watching the crowd more because there were so many people there. I was thinking there can't be that many people in the whole world who like our band."

Tickets for Bastille's upcoming tour went on sale on Friday (July 8) and aside from London, the jaunt will take them to Bournemouth, Plymouth, Cardiff, Leeds, Nottingham, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Newcastle.
