Britney Spears last night denied claims made by her ex-husband suggesting that her current boyfriend beats her.

Jason Alexander, 28, who married the singer in 2004, allegedly told US magazine that the ‘Toxic’ singer’s boyfriend Jason Trawick, 38, is abusive to her.

However, both Spears and Trawick are denying the claims, with a statement on Spears’ website saying: "Every aspect of the story is completely and utterly false.

"The statements attributed to Jason Alexander are a complete fabrication."

A tape emerged appearing to have recorded Spears confessing that she was battered, but her representation claim that this recording is fake and that they intend to take legal action.
