Benji Madden on twin brother Joel: 'It's like having a built-in best friend'

Benji Madden, of Good Charlotte fame, has revealed that having a twin brother is amazing because it's like having a "built-in best friend" around at all times.

The Madden Brothers have been making music together for years and also go on double dates with their wives, Cameron Diaz and Nicole Richie, and Benji told Kerrang! magazine that it's great to have such a close bond with his brother:

"(Growing up with a twin brother was) great - we've been best friends ever since we were born. I think we had an advantage in life, having a built-in best friend, and we always did everything together."

He added: "Throughout school and everything, we always looked out for each other, took care of each other and stood up for each other. It was a given, no-one ever had to ask."

Good Charlotte recently announced details of a UK tour and they will perform live at the O2 Forum on August 22. Tickets for the gig are on sale now and they will also play in Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham on the jaunt.
